Instead of the Linked Text Wizard coming up while attempting to link to a
text file, a pop-up comes up instead, declaring that "File
X:\Company\order.txt contains no data". The file does contain normal,
tab-delimited data. I've tested with a new database as well as other text
files, both comma and tab delimited. The same type of error message comes
up. This is a routine that has never given trouble before.
It is on an XP Home Edition machine with Access 2000. The Linked Text
Wizard does fine on another XP Home Edition machine with Access 2003.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly welcomed.
