msg files with outlook

what program can I use to open msg files. For some reason people are sending
msg files that are vcards but I can't read them

What happens when you double click on them? Do you get an error message? Text of the message?

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

I get an empty message (HTML) with the name of the contact in the Subject and
nothing in "From"
