msg stuck in outbox - wont send / can't open or delete. Help!

Outlook 2007 - i sent a msg but it did not go, and now i cannot delete it.
Whenever i do sned/receive everything else goes but it hangs for a while and
i get an error msg - very anoying! any ideas how to delet the msg stuck in
outbox?
