MSI error

Hi all,

I've created a form template in Infopath 2007. My end users do not have
Infopath installed on their machines. Therefore i wanted to create an MSI for
the form and email it to them. However, when i do this and publish as an MSI,
i get the following error when i try to install on a client machine.
Cannot find Infopath.externalapplication error code = 0x800401f3

Does this mean my end users need to have infopath installed? If not, is
there a workaround?

Any help greatly appreciated

Hi George.

You have two options with InfoPath.
Form users need InfoPath to complete the form with full functionality. Even
full trust and installable forms still require InfoPath, they just are
granted additional security privileges for custom code.

You need a web server which hosts the forms and allows clients to fill them
out in a browser, although you have limited functionality with browser
compatible forms. You need InfoPath Forms Services from Microsoft or you can
check out the Database Accelerator from http://www.qdabra.com which includes
a form viewer for your webserver.
