MSIEXEC.EXE versus MSI.DLL

After I have reformatted the hard disc, setup Windows 98
and Oficce 2000 professional i now get the following error
message:

"The MSIEXEC.EXE file is linked to missing export MSI.DLL"
and none of the 6 office programs are working. Immediately
after the setup, they all worked perfectly.

I did reload Windows 98 and wanted to reload Office 2000
Professional, but I cannot do that, I get this above Error
message as well.

Anybody has an Idea how to rectify this?
