Msimn not responding - OE seizes and disconnects dial up

Info - Clyne Farm

We have a problem with Outlook Express cutting off after it has downloaded
emails. It has only happened since we have been trying to set up Spam
Inspector. We were told by SI that out Microsoft Script file was out of date
and we followed their instructions to download the latest version. Since
then we have had terrible problems including:

1. SI still doesn't work and the only way emaiols can be sent or received is
to completely uninstall SI

2. Emails in our Outbox are sent irregularly - there is no pattern as to how
they go.

3. If you switch identities (we have three email accounts) OE invariably
seizes up. If you press CTRL-ALT-DEL there is usually a message saying OE is
not responding or Msimn is not responding. If this happens it usually means
that the

4. If emails are downloaded OE switches off connection to server after
downloading i.e. it does not then send messages in Outbox. These do
eventually go but I havebn't worked out when.

We have Windows 98SE, IE, OE6. We have Zone Alarm and AVG running. Norton is
still there although it has not been used for nine months.

Hope you can help

Sarah
