MSKCL Keyboard layout, doesn't work well with Microsoft Word

I am making this post in reference to this thread I posted earlier

http://groups.google.co.uk/group/mi...st&q=mydejamail&rnum=1&hl=en#f3d379b7538b192a

I have tried using the MSKLC program to remap the keys. But it appears
that when I switch to Word the keyboard layout changes on its own. Is
there a setting in Word that will allow the new keyboard layout to
stick?

Would it be better to delete all the other German layouts so that only
the new one I am creating will stick?

I link to a download location for Microsoft Natural Language Keyboard,
Intellitype Pro, German version will help on a German website preferably

This has nothing to do with MSKLC.

Keyboard layouts are chosen per thread -- you must go to Word and change the
layout in word to see a different layout there.

I solved the problem by using the MSKLC. But it appears that Microsoft
Word uses certain key combinations as they worked okay in Notepad and
WordPad.

I also had to disable the Intellitype Pro keyboard drivers to disable
some of the key combinations that were getting blocked.

Can you explain the per thread system of setting the keyboard layout.
Although the MSKLC approach works fine it might be useful know.

As a side note I didn't receive any response to my queries which I
found rather unusual. Perhaps all the knowledgeable guys hadn't
returned from the holidays.
