MSMAPI32.dll

I own Office 2000 Pro, full version. I bought a new HP
with XP Home and some bundled Office products were
included with it, including Outlook.

I tried to install my Office 2000 over it and got a show
stopping error telling me to: "Verify that the file exists
and that you can access it" (MSMAPI32.dll). I believe
this is an Outlook file, for languages, that is included
in an service pack.

Do I need to uninstall the existing MS apps b4 I can
install Office 2000, and apply updates? AND can I assume
all updates are included in SP #3 so I do not have to
individually install all 3?

What version of Office/Outlook came preinstalled on the computer? You
appear to be downgrading to install Office 2000 and that can cause errors if
the newer version is not uninstalled first (sometimes a reboot also helps.)
