MSN and POP3

Hi,

I have had a problem with the MSN POP3 server since
Sunday evening. I'm on Windows XP, Office XP, MSN 9 with
latest updates/service packs. I have follwed KB
procedures on setting up Outlook for MSN and repeated the
configuration 3 times now (and it was working before!)

When I select send/receive another signin dialog box
appears indicating that my password to the POP3 server is
incorrect. I have tried changing my .NET passport
password twice but this has no effect. (I strongly
suspect that the pop3 server does not use .NET
credentials for authentication).

Anyone know of any tests I can run against the pop3
server to verify my login/password ? (telnet etc) or how
I can get my account updated on the pop3 server? (I am
working with MS Support on this case but it is so far
focused on updating passwords in .NET Passport).

This is my 3rd day without Outlook Connectivity to MSN
and I'm getting desperate!

thanks

Mark
