MSN messenger

everytime I launch outlook 6 (I have XP) it automatically
launches an older version of MSN messenger. I have the
most uptodate MSN messenger, however, I don't want it to
launch at all until I tell it to. I took MSN out of my
start up sequence. The other problem is the fact that to
me it will look like I'm not logged in to MSN but when I
load up my DSL service, for some reason my contacts can
see me online even thought it doesn't appear that
messenger is lauched.

Can anyone help me with this. I refuse to pay my PC store
I bought the system from $90/hr for their tech support
just because my registration is OEM.

There is certainly an otion some where in Outlook to stop this from
happening,If u still cant find it(really sorry i dont have the path to this
option) download Tune Up utilities 2004 and it will help u doing the job.I
had this problem before, and with this program u will have full control of ur
Outlook.U can even stop the welcome screen with it and much more.

There is no such thing as "Outlook 6". You're referring to Outlook Express
and there are other newsgroups for that. This newsgroup is for Microsoft
Office Outlook, a completely different product.
