I found the add-in function for retrieving stock quotes into Excel
from MSN Money, and have found it useful. (link: http://tinyurl.com/4bfmf
) There's a 15-minute delay on the quotes, and the function is
deactivated for five minutes after each time it is used to update
quotes. (Neither is a problem for me.)
My problem: I have recently been receiving a message informing me that
I had exceeded the limit of quotes it can retrieve, and my analysis
sheet is full of error cells as a result.
First, does anyone know where I can find documentation of the limits?
I'd like to stay under the limit, but need to know what it is.
Second, does anyone know whether there's an option available to pay
the data source providers a fee to get real-time quotes through this
same function? I may want that someday.
Thanks.
