One week ago this function stopped returning values for preferred shares. Has
something changed.

For example
=MSNStockQuote("rpa.pr.a","Last Price","CA")
returns 0.0 and one week ago it worked.
All data requests return zero (ie "ask" and on all preferreds that I try)
Thanks for your reply

One additional item. The symbol for preferreds seems to have different
results like
"rpa.pr.a" returns the correct name and "rpa-a" returns some values. A week
ago "
rpa-a" format worked for all stocks

You have not responded to this problem. Something changed with this function
as it now yields erratic results for preferred shares. A month ago it was
consistent.

If you can be of help
Thanks

Again, I ask, which function? What formula are you using, what wrong results
do you get? Have you checked with MSN? They frequently change access codes
for web queries.

again - an example

=MSNStockQuote("rpq.pr.a","Ask Price","CA")

wether its "Ask" or "last" or "volume" or anything else, they did work for
all preferred shares but a couple of weeks ago it stopped working (but
sometimes it does!!)

Near as I can tell that function is part of an add-in for Excel 2002. Are
you aware you are posting in a Macintosh forum? I can find no references to
this add-in in Mactopia. Again, have you checked with MS to make sure they
have not changed any functionality?
