After installing office 11 I find I have a hidden directory named MSO
Chache in the C:\root a shade over 200 MB.
I need Info on this. Is it save to delete or could it be moved to
another drive?

It is a file created by the Office installation - it basically is a flat
file so that if/when you need to repair or install upgrades/patches, you
will not need the CD. I don't know about moving it as I have a pretty roomy
C:\ Drive.

I don't know but when I ran disk cleanup prior to doing a ghost image
backup. They were removed. I guess I can hope for the best at this
point.
Thanks

Hi GreyTop,

MS Windows Disk Cleanup does give you the
option of removing the MS Office cache files.

You can try running a detect and repair from
an Office 2003 help menu or changing the installed
feature choices for Microsoft Office 2003 from
Add/Remove Programs in the Windows Control Panel
to verify that the installation is okay. Basically
it should prompt you for the CD as it has in
prior versions if the cache folder is removed.
That should restore the cache folder.

I read the reference above and it appears I have done all correctly. I
have not experienced any problems so far. Thanks for the info.
