I posted this question on the 23rd of September without getting a single
response. I'm hoping that someone may know this answer so I'm posting it
again.
I've searched the microsoft support center without luck. My problem isn't
similar to the only two times the dll file is mentioned there.
Anyhow, here is the message:
Hello all,
I have Word 97 SR2 on Win98.
I'm having great trouble with the following winword error:
=====
WINWORD caused an invalid page fault in
module MSO97.DLL at 017f:306c25e4.

=====
Every now and then I would get this error, but it was rare. However, I
installed SR2 yesterday (9/22) and I have had nothing but errors ever since.
I'm losing valuable work time trying to get things done, which of course is
being lost. I'm baffled.
One very important thing I'd better add, just in case. I have several
printers hooked up using two A/B switches. Sometimes, though not every time,
I'll get the error when I'm trying to point to which printer I'm using.
While I won't necessairily *need* to print, I must set a different default
printer in order to format everything properly, I have to manually point
Word to a deskjet and away from the dot matrix. Otherwise, I only get one
font and no real formatting.
However, most of the time the errors occur doing something else that isn't
related. It could be just about anything.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
