MSOffice 2003 Installation hangup

When I try to install the full office suite (run all from
computer) the preparing installion progress bar goes
halfway, then just sits there. I've left the computer
alone for hours, but nothing happens. Why won't it
install? I'm running a Compaq Prosignia desktop 533 MHz
w/724 Mb memory, 80 Gb WD HD. OS WinXPpro. Installed
Norton SystemWorks 2004 and Norton Internet Security
2004, however, I've disabled all Norton applications, but
the installation still hangs. Any suggestions?
