we downloaded trial of Office 2003 to replace Office XP, 60 days length
appreciated. We wrongly assumed product would issue advance notice of trial
expiry to enable timely purchase of upgrade. But suddenly without advance
warning functionality ceased causing us great inconvenience because we were
unable to obtain the upgrade for several days. Most trial software prompts
remaining length of trial. Also MSOffice repeatedly prompts for activation of
purchased product - so why suddenly, without helpful warnings or reminders,
leave us in the lurch with read-only functionality after installing an
MSOffice trial ? If we'd been warned there would be no prompts we could have
specifically monitored the number of trial days remaining and purchased
upgrade in suitable time.
