MSOffice2k to XP

I have just purchased a new laptop. My old laptop has
MSOffice 2000, and I have the install CD's. When I try to
install it to my new XP machine, I get dire warnings about
instability?!?!

I was hoping I could install it on the XP machine w/o any
trouble, and then delete it from the old machine (per
EULA).

Any advice here? How do I get MSOffice onto my new XP
machine w/o buying the whole doggone program again.??

Hi, Mark,

If you post back with the exact error messages you're receiving, and at what
point in the process, that would be helpful for someone to diagnose. What
version of Office 2000 do you have? Was it pre-installed by the equipment
manufacturer or purchased retail?
