In trying to build a cube (unsuccessfully) in MSP 2007 Beta, I've performed
the following steps:
1.) Taken a plan from our production instance of MSP 2003 and, using the
2007 project professional beta product, imported it into MSP Server 2007.
Prior to this I opened all periods back to October of 2004, since that was
the date that this project first began to record actual work. All of the
local resources were successfully mapped to enterprise resources.
2.) Published the plan, by choosing File > Publish.
3.) Logged into PWA 2007, navigated to Server Settings > Build Settings,
entered the appropriate information and clicked "Save and Build Now."
I have done this at least three times and each time I get the following
error in the Build Status area of PWA:
=====Process Completed=====
[11/6/2006 2:11 PM] Failed to build the OLAP cubes. Error: Analysis Services
session failed with the following error: Query (1,10) Parser: The syntax for
',' is incorrect.
I'm trying to take a look at the OLAP reporting capabilities in 2007. Can
someone steer me in the right direction? Is my process incorrect?
Thanks.
