MSP 2007 Printing Issue

We just switched over to 2007 from a mixture of 2000 and 2003. We now find
that some of the bars in the Gannt charge don't appear when we print. The
settings don't appear to have changed....any ideas?

Hi,

Does this happen on several PC's? Does it happen on different printers? Is
this problem specific to some users or all? DO you have SP1 for project
2007? (see under Help, About project menu).

Hello Paul,

I've not personally experienced this but for some, turning off the 3-D
display of the Gantt bars seems to work. See Tools > Options, View
tab.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

Julie.... That took care of it.

In looking at it some more, the problem is specifically with the bar for
baseline summary, the border seems to disappear in 3D mode. Also, the basic
task bar seems to be an extra light blue that doesn't show up well.

My experience of this problem was that it was the horizontal lines in the
Gantt area that didn't show. Vertical lines + fill areas were OK.

We have found that in Project 2007 that the bar "frame" will turn white when
in print preview or when printed. White against a white background will
appear invisible. You will notice that this white frame blots-out the
gridlines. It is clearly a MS-Project 2007 feature since turning off 3-D
bars does eliminates the problem.
