MSP 2007 Queue

B

Brian

We have installed the 2007 Beta and are trying to get a plan uploaded to take
a look (we're not too concerned at this point if the data is correct, we just
want to get something up there). For the past few days we've been trying to
use the Import Project to Enterprise feature to bring in an existing .mpp
file. We'll go through the wizard, map resources, and publish. However,
EVERYTHING in the queue is reported as "Waiting to be processed" and has been
for several days. Is there a setting that I'm missing? Does anybody know
how to push this stuff along?

Brian,

We are having the same problem. I'm on my second clean install and the
service is not getting installed at all. I could find limited threads
relating to this issue. One writer mentioned creating a blank SSP in
Sharepoint and his strarted working, that's not the case here though.

Greg
Please keep us posted if you find a fix....

Paul, please forgive my ignorance (I'm very new to 2007). How do I check
this? Thanks.

Read "Installing Microsoft Office Project Server 2007 Beta 2" carefully:

.... The Queuing and Eventing services cannot be created if the Share Service
Provider administrator account is not also a box administrator: Project Web
Access instance provisioning fails with an error.
For Office Project Server 2007 Beta 2, the Shared Service Provider
administrator account needs to be an administrator on the application
server(s) in the farm in order for Project Web Access instance provisioning
to successfully provision the queue and event services...

I did it and it works ;-)

Serge,

I'm having brain lapse here! (and I'm green in WSS) If you have time could
you post the exact steps you are taking? I'm just not getting it... : )
