MSP crashes on saving

Hi All,

We encounter a critical error while saving project to project server.
In some of the computers in our company MSP crashes while saving and
alternately gives us the send don't send message.

We can't debug the error while in the event viewer we don't see any error.

Sorry indeed for the lack of details...
Project server 2007 with no SP (yet not published...).
I think that we have all the latest hotfixes and we do the save from project
pro to the server with no code running (VBA nor addin)...

Hi Ran,

Unfortunatelly I'm really experienced consultant in this subject.

1) On my web is tool which checking same basic types of corruption.
http://www.projectserver.cz - this tool using PSI so you can use it
from any workstation.
2) There are same hotfixes which aren't freely awailable which prevent
new project plan corruptions. For example office-kb938889-fullfile-x86-
glb.exe but truth about the stuf this hotfixes are solving are so
strange that Microsoft didn't published list of all bugs which are
fixed by this hotfix
3) Instruct user that they should not not use blank lines in projects
plans. And delete blank lines from existing project plans.

This tool do not fix any kind of error yust tell you that there are
problems.
Many of problem with project plan corruption are fixed in kb938889 -
but this HF do not fix existing corruptions.
Ps you shoukd know that this hotfix is also fixing check-in bug
(http://blogs.msdn.com/brismith/archive/2007/04/24/just-checking-
in.aspx)



When there will be problem with resources you have to remove resources
with identic names from your project.
Some times you have to go to the database to fix a bug for example
problem with corrupted asignments which pointing to lost task in this
case you have to open table with assignments and replace TASK_UID by
UID of existing task.
Same bugs are fixed when blank lines are deleted.

All mentioned bugs are fixed in SP1 which is ready, but there is same
strange policy that all servicepack's for MS Office 2007 will be
released together.
