MSP file missing

'Error! Unable to check for updates on this
computer 'shown on my screen when I tried to up-date my
MS office, it seems I missing the .MSP file, so I was
tried to uninstall my Office (intended to re-install it
as to solve the problem) but failed. I really don't want
to erase my entire hard disk and re-install everything
again. Please, if anyone can let me know how can I fix
the problem?

Thanks

I get an "unable to locate data1.msi" message when I try
to update Office 2000 Pro. I am also unable to uninstall.
I got an Office 2000 Professional disk from my office in
Denver but that still doesn't seem to do the trick. let's
keep in touch on this problem. Perhaps Microsoft Technical
Support needs to be contacted on this one.

Office. Anybody has any ideas?

I have the same problem. It seems to have occurred after
I did a system restore to fix another problem (which it
didn't fix). I have searched the knowledge base and found
article 304498 and completed all steps listed with no
results, but it might help you. Anyone else that has an
answer please post.
