I have a MSP server 2002 implementation currently that seems to be running
fine for the most part. Problem is that it is very slow when a user opens a
project that has been published on the server. The server power and network
bandwidth are plentiful but it can still take anywhere from 30 seconds to
several minutes to open a program. These programs are not complex, either -
maybe 100 tasks or so max.
I'm wondering if someone can comment on the speed at which programs open on
server 2002 vs. server 2003. I've heard through the grapevine that 2003 has
made improvements in this area. Any other must-have new features in 2003?
I'm trying to build a justification to upgrade to 2003. Thanks.
