MSP2K Workgroup Team Status

I'm using MSP2k. I want to send out team status requests in which the
recipients are expected to update the start & finish dates, and the %
complete. However,
(a) Although the recipient can update the start and finish fields in the
status message, after I get back the update, the new values do not get
populated into the project
(b) Although I customized the Team Status message to include the % complete
column, it does not appear in the Status Message when opened by the recipient.

Anyone have a solution or alternative?
