MSP_QUEUE_PROJECT_GROUP_ARCHIVE table unexpected growth

Using Project Server 2007, Dec IU. The table MSP_QUEUE_PROJECT_GROUP_ARCHIVE
in the Draft database over one night grew to a disproportionate size.

Site has a schedule daily backup retaining 3 versions (per server settings)

Anyone have an idea on why the draft db which has about 20 projects could
grow so large overnight?
