MSProject Professional 2002: Collaborate

Hello, i send some of the resources an assignment with the menu collaborate,
publish etc. Some of the mails didn't arrive (so they can't reply) but there
is a publish assignment message in the column indicator. Is it possible to
remove this indicator via project or VB?
