MSPS 2003 and SQL Enterprise Edition

The Microsoft Office Project Server 2003 Installation Guide states on
page 116: "You must be running SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition in
order to enable Portfolio Analyzer to be available over the Internet".
Also, on page 5: "...only SQL Server Enterprise Edition will support
advanced deployment features like ... HTTP Internet Support".

What do these statements mean? Is there a reference somewhere which
explains them in more detail?

I'm planning an MSPS 2003 deployment and would like to be certain I'm
using the correct version of SQL Server.

Thanks!

I believe that without Enterprise Edition you are limited to running it only
within an intranet
Enterprise edition uses some form of secure HTTP which the regular edition
does not have.
See here for more details.

Jim:

Do you need to make Analyzer views available over http on the Internet? If
so, this caution is telling you that it's supported in Enterprise edition of
SQL only. You can also use Terminal Services to deliver this functionality
across the Internet as well.
