MSPS as an enterprise tool

Is MSPS a true enterprise tool? Do we hit resource limits (ERP with active
directory sync to outlook distribution list) or project limits (# of
projects) as we head towards making one MSPS server available for the whole
IT enterprise? Are there other issues? Are there documented boundaries and/or
multiple recommended configurations? We have SQL Server, Sharepoint and MSPS
all on one server currently running 300 resources and 150 projects.

Can you define "enterprise" better? Multiple locations/single location,
connectivity speed and latency to the server(s), etc.

Just extending the server to more people and more projects. Allowing multiple
departments to use the same server which is currently being used for 300
resources and 150 projects. Each additional dept will double that number.
Atleast 5 more departments in the IT org.
