MSPS2003 does not create a corresponding Sharepoint Site for certain projects

We are using MSPS2003 and have it configured so that sharepoint sites are automatically created whenever a new project is saved/published to MSPS2003. There are 11 projects stored/published in MSPS2003 and 9 of them have corresponding sharepoint sites and two that don't have any sharepoint sites

I have tried to manually create the missing sites via PWA using the Create Site command under the Manage SharePoint sites tab. Here is this error message I get back

VBScript: MS Project Web Access 200

Error occurred when creating site. Site doesn't seem to exist

I have deleted these two projects with the missing sites from Project Server via PWA (and also indicated that the corresponding sharepoint sites also be deleted even though they don't appear to exist) and recreated the plans using Project Professional 2003 and Project Server in hopes that this set of actions would create the project along with underlying SharePoint site - didn't work. Next, I created a brand new test project plan using Project Professional and stored it in Project Server. The corresponding SharePoint site was also created for the new test project, so it seems like sharepoint sites are created except for these two specific projects. I can also access each of the sharepoint sites that have been created for the 9 projects

Anyone have any ideas why this is happening to these two specific projects and what to do about it

Thanks...Curt

Thanks for your posting. I will give the solution outlined in the MS KB article a try and see if it corrects the problem
