I have just added msquery to my Office 2000 programs from the Office 2000
Professional CD and I'm having problems that point to the driver(s) used by
this office tool.
If I try to use a parameter in a query I'll get an error message. When I
select the help button on the error message it says that the problem is from
the driver(s) being used.
This occurs when using different query options like:
-using a parameter in a query (e.g. [enter date:]
-using dateadd
-using dateserial
-max(date) with criteria
-I even have a column in a table that msquery gives this driver error
message when it is selected to run.
The tables I'm using are Access 2000 tables. I have no problems using the
same queries in MS Access's query module.
Windows XP Home, Office 2000 Professional are installed and have all the
updates. Both have been working correctly for many months.... years.
Since I have only recently loaded Msquery from the Office 2000 CD I'm not
sure if it is up-to-date. The MS update site does not suggest any updates.
What drivers are used by Msquery (msqry32.exe) and how can I check if they
are current?
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.
P.S. There isn't any help for Msquery at the MS support site and there isn't
a NG for msquery since it is a tool used by Word and Excel.
TIA
