MSSharePointPortalAppPool - Invalid

Hello,

I am getting the below mentioned error in the System event viewer -

"The identity of application pool 'MSSharePointPortalAppPool' is invalid, so
the World Wide Web Publishing Service can not create a worker process to
serve the application pool. Therefore, the application pool has been
disabled."

This has made the project center and resource center views incessible. I
this this pool have some problems and hence WSS and some functions of PWA are
not working. What is the solution to the problem? I have checked the Identity
password and they are fine.

Any idea.

Hello All,

Got the below error resolved by assinging a new Application pool. And now
project center and resource center views are working. But Sharepoint services
are not working and i am getting the below error in the system event viewer -

"DCOM got error "The operation completed successfully. " and was unable to
logon FSG-PROJECt\MSProjectServ in order to run the server:
{97E14DC5-107E-4DE9-A701-5A1D8E3CDC84}"

Any ideas on this? Any solution?
