MSSQL Database Connection Word - No DSN

I apologize if this is an obvious one but does anyone know
if it's possible to establish a connection to a SQL server
without using a DSN? All I can find is OpenDatabase which
opens an ODBC connection. I'm trying to get by without
having to have all the users create a DSn entry.
