I do not want the Microsoft Scheduling Agent,
(MSTASK.exe), running in the background. I have Windows
98. I've unchecked the Scheduling Agent under MSConfig
Selective startup, but it still loads. When I rename
MSTASK.exe, I get a fatal error during boot up.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try posting this in a Windows 98 news group - you will get a faster answer
there than in Office groups.
