MSword as ftp client, web page, how do i put a hits counter on it

im using MS word as my ftp client, making a web site, how do i add a hits
counter to the site? i have tried copy and pasting some code in but it doesnt
read it as code, it just puts on the web site exactly what i have written as
its a GUI web page designer, not html...i think.
