I recently created a msword document and sent it to
another group to put in our repository. The repository
is just a file server where people can reference
documents using their web browser. When I open this
document from the repository I receive the following
message: "Do you want to merge changes in .... back
into ...". You can respond to this message by hitting
the "No, and don't ask again" button. I responded this
way before sending the document to the repository.
If other people open this document from the repository
they do not receive this message.
It appears that there is some settings within the
document itself that are retained when it is saved that
cause this behavior.
The only way I corrected this behavior was to email the
document to myself and then open it and hit the "No, and
don't ask again" button.
There must be a better way to prevent this behavior.
Please advise.
