MSWORD should have a really working numbering system.

When you work with more then one document at the same time, I have the
feeling that sometimes the previous numbering template is used for the new
document.

Often the restart does not work.

I remember in old CP/M Wordstar it always worked without any problems. I
think Microsoft has tried to pack to much functionality in one system,
without realizing the unstability of the end result

Unbreakable until you try to copy lists between documents, that is...

Even List styles (and paragraph styles linked to list styles) seem to be
buggy in this regard... and they were introduced long after the problems were
known, and would have been a great opportunity to fix them.
