MSword will not open - Mcafee AV opens instead - help

If I click on a MSword .doc file to open it, a Mcafee Virus Scan window
opens instead. The .doc never opens. Is there a fix for this? Any ideas
appreciated.

what does the icon for the word document look like? is
it the blue W or something else?

i'm thinking along the lines of file association but am
not sure.

The word doc never opens so I can't tell.
But the icon for the doc is identified as MSword.

I'm going to double- check the file associations!
