MSWord Window in browser

Hello again.
First off, I want to say thank you to all the MVP's. I have learned a lot
since I started using this site. Thank you.

But my question is - how do get a hyperlink to open in the program it was
created in instead of a browser window.

I have a page I am adding automated Word documents to as hyperlinks.
I have them opening in a new window but it does not allow the user to use
some MSWord functions.
So I would like to open the window in MSWord (but keep the document
protected).
Is there a way to do this that is part of MSFrontPage 2000?
Or am I asking to much of this version?

This is a function of Windows and the browser that you can't control. Users
would have to make changes to their O/S in order to do this.
