MUI, SP1 and Sample Data

We are starting to use a couple of PS2003 MUIs (Japanese and Spanish).

First, with SP1, the MS SP1 web site says I need the MUI SP1, but it
will be available later. I guess that means I shouldn't install SP1
yet, doesn't it?

Second, I'd like to use the MUIs with the sample data. I observed the
message box that I must use INSDEFLP.SQL on each Project Server
database other than the default. I've tried it, but it doesn't work
well: the main nav bar on the home page is reduced to a series of
vertical bars. The original English sample data seems ok, though. What
should I do?
