Multi-col report as unnecessary final page

I'm printing a report with two sets of columns per page. I get an extra page
at the end of the report with a header and footer. How can I keep from
including this extra page and insure that it is not included in the total
page count? (I.e., so the "page -- of -- pages" is correct when the
superflous page is omitted).

Please be specific. Which header and footer? I'll guess
that you mean the page header and page footer and then
speculate that the report footer is blank. If I'm on the
right track, set the Height of the report footer to 0 or
make it invisible.

The whole final page is not needed as it consists of just the page header and
footer. The detail section was finished in the middle of the second column of
the next to last page. The two-column report format was set via the column
tab of the file menu's "Set format". Data is printed in the two columns, top
to bottom, rather than horizontally. I just want the entire superflous last
page dropped and not have the Page Count to include this superflous page.
I would assume that the report footer now ends with the printing of the
final detail on the current next-to-last page and for some reason unknown to
me the last page is printing with just a page header and page footer

The Report Footer can not go after the last detail because
the report footer spans the width of the page and
consequently will not fit in a column. Therefore the report
footer will occupy a page by itself and if it has nothing
but blank space it will appear as a blank page.

Thanks, Marsh! The problem was solved by not having a report footer. I was
fooled because I used a footer with just a line the width of one column of
the two column report. That footer line did print in the first column on the
unwanted final page (which I didn't realize before).
