multi currency settings

Hi all,

I have designed a database where all the forms have been translated in
different european languages.

I set some of the fields to the currency format. However, whenever anyone
in a different country opens the database it opens in £ and £ shows in the
format box.

how can i format the data to the currency of the country automatically e.g.
euro or £ depending on the machine opening the database.

Thanks

Dennis, this is a bug in Access. The string for the Currency property of
text boxes (and fields) is not set correctlly.

In the Open event of your forms and reports, you need to explicitly set the
Format property of each affected text box to
Currency
in order for it to reflect the currency of the user.

Can't recall if you can also resolve this by assigning the property
programmatically in Form Design view, and then saving: that may be possible,
but you cannot do it through the interface.

Thank you very much.

I have been sending databases back and forth to three different countries to
test different solutions.

At least I now know its not my fault!!

Thanks
