Multi-line equations in Word 2007

I want to edit a multi-line linear system of equations in equation editor of
Word 2007 beta 2. But when I press enter as I did in Word 2000 to begin a new
line, word move the focus out of the editor. How to correct this annoying
problem, thanks.

First, you should upgrade to B2TR. See the links on my website.

AFAIK, you cannot make multi-line equations with the new editor. You
simply have to enter a new equation object.

The new Equation editor built into Word 2007 will evolve with additional features. The older MS Equation Editor v3.0 is still
available in Office 2007 as inserted objects.

Actually, you can make multi-line equations, although they don't look
like it while you're creating them. Use Shift+Enter instead of Enter.
This has two effects: First, the new line automatically has the
equation entry box; and second, when you select several lines of
equations and right-click, you get choices like "Align on =" in the
context menu.

I find it makes no difference whether I press 'Enter' or 'Shift Enter'. It
alway begin with a new empty equation. I can always select several lines of
equations and right-click to get the choice 'align on ='.
By the way, I use beta 2.
