Multi-Lingual Tools

We are running Project Server 2007 across different countries, and I would
like to know if there are any translation tools that can be used to
automatically translate the content of Project Server plans. For instance,
we have plans input in China with Chinese characters in the task names. We
have required that they include an english translation within the task name,
but were wondering if there is a better way ?

Hi David,

Our advise to our customers with international outlets/offices or resources
is to use the taskname with the English text of the task, and define 1 or
multiple custom text fields which have the translation in French / German /
Spanish / Chinese /....
In this way, everybody can use the project plan and read & also understand
the task name/description. The local people can build or use a view which
include eg Task Text Field 1/.../n with the localised name of the task. Why?
because sometimes they want to share the project plan with the customer or
with subcontractors or better said with people which are not so powerful in
English.
This approach seems to work for multiple international customers of us.

Greetings, Kurt
