Multi User Access Problem Resolved

This will probally never happen again !

I installed my database on our LAN at work and whenever someone would open
it - it would lock and no on else could open it until the previous person
closed their's. Though it had to do with permssions - turns out working for
the military we have several versions of Access loaded on our LAN so they had
me create a shortcut for the program and have the shortcut point to the
version of Access I want to open.
So I did and then tweaked the setting in the shortcut.

Create Short Cut to Start program if multiple versions of Access loaded

Target: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\MSACCESS.EXE"
"Y:\MXG\AMXS\Orderly Room\Time Card.mdb"

Start In: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11"

Reponded to in another newsgroup.

It's rarely necessary to post the same question to more than one group, but
out of courtesy for the volunteers who help here, and to make it easier for
you to see a response, post only one time, adding the few (rarely more than
2) 'groups in the "To:" field. This keeps responses in one group showing up
in the other.
