Multi user access

I have developed access forms, etc. with sql server
as backend. This should be shared by user on network
drive. Can I install access runtime to access this
database from shared network drive or I need to install
the complete access software. If I install the entire
access on 100 computers, will I need 100 licenses or
it will depend upon how many users use it at any given
time? Or will I still need 100 licenses for runtime
version as well?

I have installed runtime on one computer, but I am
unable to open the .mdb file, should I be using .mde
file with runtime or .mdb file?

Thanks for the reply!

I am using MS office 2000. I cannot find Packaging Wiz or
Developer ...

I found copy of MSACCESSRT on CD no. 6 and copied onto
my computer and installed runtime on
d:\program files\microsoft office\art\

After this I do see MSACCESS RUN TIME installed via
Control Panel. But I don't see it by going to Start ->
Programs (unlike when I install full copy of Access).

Can you let me know where can I find Packagin wiz ...

What am I supposed to do after I find it.

You may install runtime on 100 or 1000 computers if you
own the developer software. You can use an mdb or mde
with the runtime. The runtime has the design features
turned off. An mde is simply a compliled mdb and is
smaller and faster and also the design is turned off, even
with full MS Access. You cannot import forms or code from
an mde either.
