multilevel bullet problem

Microsoft Word 2007

I don't know how this happened or what setting I changed, but hitting
the tab key no longer indents the bullet or changes the bullet type -
it only indents the text. If anyone could help me fix this problem so
I can once again make multilevel bulleted lists I would really
appreciate it. Thanks!

Select Office button > Word Options > Proofing category. Click the
AutoCorrect Options button (top right in the dialog box). On the "AutoFormat
as You Type" tab, turn on "Set left- and first-indent with tabs and
backspaces". Click OK twice.

Note, however, that you can also change from one level of a multilevel list
to the next (or from one Heading level to the next) by pressing
Alt+Shift+Right Arrow (or Alt+Shift+Right+Left Arrow to go to previous level).
