Multipe View Processing Servers (VNS)

I'm planning to add more VNS servers in my current environment. I found this
article.

In my environment XML files started piling up in VNS folder since begining
this year. On few busy days there were 400+ files for a day. They stay there
for the whole day & clear up late during night. Recently on few occasions
they continued for next day causing issues with nightly cube job.

Does any one have deployed multiple VNS for single MSPS 2003 environment?
What were issues and what are your suggestions.
