Multiple Accounts for 1 Address=same Mail*4

Patrick Zirngast

Hi,

I sent a feedback form to Microsoft on this issue before, but was were much
surprised that they didn¹t ask for a mail address, so I put it in the text
but there has never been a response. Maybe someone here can help me out on
this issue (as MS obviously can¹t):

I¹m using Entourage and have set up several accounts for 1 Mailaddress. This
is because I use my laptop at several locations each of them requires me
to use a different outgoing-server. So I set up the same mail-account for
each of my locations.

Bad thing about it is, that now I receive each mail 4 times for each mail
account. This is rather inconvenient to me. I tried to leave the
incoming-mailserver blank in three of the four accounts, but entourage
doesn¹t accept blank incoming-servers and gives me a error display.

Does anybody know a work-around on this? It worked on my Outlppk 2003 very
well with not entering an outgoing-server, but not here.

I¹m on Mac OS X 10.4.9 Build 8P2137 and using MS Office for Mac 2004 Version
11.3.5 (070411).

I appreciate your help very much!

It's a one way system. They never contact anybody back,

You might want to consider using an AppleScript to switch SMTP server.
There are several out that that might suit your needs.
Take a look at this one for instance:

You have 2 options.

1. Put 'none' as the receiving server. It's an invalid address, so
cannot get the emails. If you need the authentication to send, put it
in the advanced sending options.

2. Uncheck 'Include this account in my "Send & Receive All" schedule'
for 3 of the accounts. The only problem here is that you may need to
manually send emails if they doin't go out the first time. (Open them
again and click Send Now.)
