Multiple address books

Rodger Zara

We are using Outlook 2000 without Exchange (pop3 mail).
I would like to set up a corporate address book on a
public share on a server. I created the new .pst folder
and added contacts and when creating mail it would find
contacts in either .pst file. However when I opened the
public pst file from a second computer I can see the
contacts and click on them but they are not searched for
when creating a mail message. What am I missing?????

Thanks,
Rodger

I assume you realize a PST can only be accessed by one user at a time.

Did you enable this Contacts Folder as an email address book in the second
computer's Outlook Profile?

No I actually didn't realize that only one person can
access a pst at one time. I'm more of a Lotus Notes
user! So if that's the case is there a recommended way
to have a shared address book without installing an
exchange server???
