Multiple attachments, different file names, identical content

Hey,

We have a strange problem with forwarding multiple attachments in Microsoft
Outlook 2003 (especially with pdf's)

When we forward an email with multiple attachments the receiver gets the
multiple attachments with different file names but the
content of all files is identical to the first attachment.

This thread

says it has something to do with Outlook's secure temporary folder getting
full. But it still occured after we made sure that the tempory folder wasn't
full.

Any suggestions?

Did you empty the securetemp folder on the sending and receiving computers?
if you click save before sending (or wait long enough for outlook to save a
draft) do the correct files send? what if you hit forward and send
immediately, before autosave kicks in?

I think that the problem is on the sending computer.
We empty the temp folder when closing the browser, I am sure it doesn't get
full.
What do you mean by "clicking save before sending", do you mean saving the
email?

In my opinion the problem is that the person opens a pdf and that it is that
one that is sent.
It's a very annoying problem!

That doesn't affect the Outlook Secure Temp Folder, as far as I can tell.

No, it doesn't, unfortunately.

Try moving the securetemp folder on the suspect computer and see if it takes
care of the problem - with it moved you'll be able to monitor it easier to
see if the problem happens when there are a number of files there. I
usually make a folder for it under the user's my documents folder so it is
easier to check but also secured from other accounts.
